Patients visiting medical aesthetics websites need to feel safe before they book. The original Best Skincare Clinic site looked outdated, lacked compliance, and gave no clear path to consultation. This redesign builds clinical credibility from the first scroll — clean layout, verified trust signals, and a booking flow that respects patient consent.

Problem

Outdated visual design undermined the clinic’s medical credibility

• No GDPR consent flow — booking redirected users without proper disclosure

• 9 services listed with no hierarchy — patients couldn’t identify what they needed

• No trust signals — missing credentials, affiliations, or patient review count above fold

• Mobile layout was broken and unusable

Solution

• Rebuilt the entire site on WordPress with a clean, medical-grade visual system

• Implemented GDPR-compliant consent prompt before any booking redirection

• Restructured 9 services into 4 clear treatment categories with icons and descriptions

• Added GMC/NMC registration badge, DBS check notice, and partner logos above fold

• Fully responsive layout tested across mobile, tablet, and desktop

  • The color palette uses Olive green and Anti-flash white to communicate natural care and clinical safety, while clean sans-serif typography keeps treatment information easy to scan for first-time patients.

Research & Competitive Analysis

  • This shift moves patients from uncertainty to confidence — making it faster to find the right treatment and take the next step toward booking.

User Research & Strategy

Reviewed 5 UK aesthetic clinic websites including national brands and local Leeds competitors. Found that patients prioritise 3 things before booking: proof of medical qualification, clear treatment descriptions, and a trustworthy booking process. The original site failed on all three.

Wireframing & Information Architecture

Restructured the site into 5 zones: Hero (trust + CTA), Services (categorised), Why Choose Us (credentials), Team (qualified practitioners), and Booking (GDPR-compliant). Removed redundant pages that added clicks without adding value.

Interaction & Visual Design

Applied a forest green and white palette tested for WCAG AA contrast compliance. Used DM Sans for approachability and medical clarity. Designed trust badges, credential blocks, and before/after sections to address patient hesitation at every scroll point.

Usability Testing & Iteration

Tested GDPR consent flow and booking redirect with real users. Key finding: patients abandoned booking when consent language was unclear. Rewrote consent copy to plain English and moved it earlier in the flow. Reduced booking drop-off significantly.

"The new site looks exactly how a professional clinic should. Our patients have commented on how much easier it is to find treatments and book. The compliance piece gave us real peace of mind."
- Dr. Naveed

Key Outcomes

• Site live on WordPress — real patients using it daily

• GDPR-compliant booking flow implemented for the first time

• Unstructured services reorganised into 2 clear treatment categories

• GMC/NMC credentials and DBS badge added above fold

• Fully responsive across all devices
